NEMO Annual Meeting 2008 in Ljubljana, Slovenia

This year, the NEMO Annual meeting will take place in Ljubljana in the Slovene Ethnographic Museum.

The meeting shall start on Friday, 28 November 2008, in the morning. The first part of the day shall be dedicated to the hosting country. The afternoon will start with the topic "Life-long learning in museums". Many museums have dealt with the topic already and the field of informal learning is becoming increasingly important. A general introduction on adult learning, presentations of case studies/good practice examples in this field, and an overview about the funding possibilities for museums in the EU Life-long learning Grundtvig Programme shall be part of the afternoon session.

Saturday, 29 November 2008, shall be reserved mainly for NEMO issues. Further important topics relevant to the European museums shall be discussed during that day.

Sunday, 30 November 2008, is traditionally reserved for excursions and visits of Ljubljana's museums.
