EENC publishes Study on the Valuation of Works of Art for Lending and Borrowing Purposes

On Behalf of the European Expert Network on Culture, a study on the Valuation of Works of Art for Lending and Borrowing Purposes has been published. Written by Cornelia Dümcke and Freda Matassa, the report aims to assist the European Commission and EU Member States by providing updated knowledge on valuation methods and considering measures to facilitate the mobility of collections.
The study is based on results of questionnaires and interviews with museums, governments and curators and also includes a sample methodology for assessing the value of different types of collections.
New report by the Social Impact of the Arts Project: Culture and Community Revitalization

Between 2006 and 2008, the Social Impact of the Arts Project worked on an investigation of the creative sector's potential contribution to neighborhood economic and community development. In collaboration with the community development financial institution The Reinvestment Fond, SIAP released the report “Culture and Community Revitalization: the Executive Summary”, which contains summary materials, a literature review, three policy briefs, and a community investment prospectus.
