NEMO participated in the meetings of the Alliance on 27 April and the structured dialogue meeting of Voices of Culture on 28 April in Brussels, to discuss the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

The meeting on 27 April brought together the members of the European Heritage Alliance 3.3 at BOZAR in Brussels to talk about joint steps for the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018. The Alliance influenced the motions towards the EYCH 2018 through its advocacy initiatives in the past year.
The group was able to celebrate the vote of the European Parliament on the EYCH. The next step will be the adoption of the text by the Council of the European Union in the first reading.

On 28 April NEMO represented the strong voice of museums at the Voices of Culture and Heritage meeting, which serves as the EYCH stakeholders committee. Voices of Culture allows NEMO to communicate the needs and interests of museums for the EYCH 2018 to the European Commission. Here, NEMO is among a strong group from the cultural and heritage sector.
