[Call for Applications] Museums in Short Awards

Museums that have created narratives in video format related to museums from 1 January 2014 onwards are eligible to apply for the Museums in Short Awards 2017.
The Museum in Short Awards recognise the value of short films in disseminating museums' contents in an engaging and direct way since 2012. They are promoted by the European Museum Academy (EMA), Fondazione Brescia Musei and Cinema Nuovo Eden and musil – Museum of Industry and Labour in collaboration with ICOM Italia.
Museums interested in submitting their video should provide a video of no more than 10 minutes length in English or with English subtitles. The video should not exceed 2 GB file size and be sent via data transfer services to email@example.com.
Additionally, an enrolment form as well as a release note for the Use of video, the Use of the Music in the video, and treatment of Personal Details has to be sent to the same email address.
The awards will be presented in two categories:
- Museums in Short Award, for short films (max. 10 min.) conceived to promote museums or their activities and films used in permanent or temporary exhibitions;
- Public Special Mention, online users can express their preference voting the best amongst the shortlisted videos through the online voting platform available on the website www.museumsinshort.eu.
Deadline for submission is 30 April 2017.
The awards ceremony will take place in late 2017. The complete program and the date of the award ceremony will be published on the websites .
