[Call for Applications] NICE Awards 2017 - Innovation in Culture and Creativity

The 2017 NICE Awards are titled "Creating an Inclusive World – A Call for Transformative Innovations". This year people and projects from the cultural and creative sectors that propose surprising and experimental solutions for helping shape an inclusive society in this high speed world of digital and global disruption are invited to apply.
Welcome is a special, but not exclusive, attention given to human centric design, citizen participation and/or co-creation as well as transformative social innovation. The Awards by the Network for Innovations in Culture and Creativity in Europe (N.I.C.E.) promote innovations through culture and creative industries into the wider economy and society to tackle the major challenges of our future today.
Submitted projects should be driven by stakeholders from the cultural and creative sector but are not limited to it. All submitted projects should take place in the 28 EU Member States or the candidate or potential candidate states to the EU as of 2017 (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey) and have started/been realised between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2016. For the application a short promotion film with a maximum-length of 2 minutes in English or with English subtitles, a prefix and credits has to be submitted.
The application is open from 15 March 2017 to 30 April 2017.
The N.I.C.E. Awards will be held in Essen on 6 September 2017. After the application period has ended, the jury will decide on a shortlist, shortlisted applicants will be informed by 3 July 2017. They are going to be interviewed by the Award jury on 6 September 2017 and the announcements will be made in the evening of the same day.
