The Erasmus+ call is aimed at supporting initiatives in the field of education, training and youth that fall under the scope of the Paris Declaration from 17 March 2015.
The Paris Declaration on Promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination through education from March 2015 was a declaration to support and pass on the values of the European society. The funding scheme by Erasmus+ aims at supporting projects that are in line with the ideas promoted in the Paris Declaration.
Projects wanting to apply have to be established in one of the two lots "education and training" or "youth" and should address one of the main objectives: a) Preventing violent radicalisation and promoting democratic values, fundamental rights, intercultural understanding and active citizenship or b) Fostering the inclusion of disadvantaged learners, including persons with a migrant background, while preventing and combating discriminatory practices.
In addition each project can have more specific objectives such as the promotion of gender equality or the creation of inclusive and democratic learning environments.
The length of the projects that should start between 1 and 31 December 2016 is targeted to 24 to 36 months, which can be extended by 6 months.
Submissions can be made until 31 May 2016, 12:00 noon CET.
