Today, 24 May 2018, NEMO is present at the ArtLab workshop in Milan, Italy. The focus of the workshop is “Innovation Support for Cultural Heritage – the international view” and the outcome will serve as the base for THE ARTS+ Innovation Summit on 10 October 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany.

NEMO board member Dragos Neamu  is attending the Preparatory Worksop on behalf of NEMO. Neamu will represent and voice museums’ standpoint when it comes to obstacles and opportunities facing museums and culture in general when engaging with Cultural and Creative Sectors.

The ArtLab workshop sets out to identify the 10 biggest structural obstacles to innovation in cultural heritage, to explore 10 relevant innovation support needs in the field as well as to identify overlaps between cultural heritage and the Cultural and Creative sector as a whole.

NEMO is a proud partner of THE ARTS+ and will be present in Frankfurt from 10-14 October, when stakeholders within the Cultural and Creative sector meet to discuss national and European innovation support for the cultural and creative sectors and to highlight concrete insights to be presented to national and European decision makers and the media.

The small roundtable discussions at today's ArtLab workshop will be triggered by short impulse speeches held by NEMO’s Neamu and professor Pier Luigi Sacco, Special Adviser of the European Commissioner for Education and Culture. Luigi Sacco will join NEMO on 19 June in Berlin when he DJs at the event A Museum Night Out – Dance at the Museum. Read more about the event here.
