NEMO responds to the EC's Communication from 14 November 2017 published prior to the EU Leaders' meeting in Gothenburg on 17 November 2017.

NEMO welcomes the attention given to the importance of education and culture and supports the acknowledgement of the social value of culture and heritage in the Communication. Therefore, the network invites the EU at the same time to invest into apt initiatives on European level that invest into the social and cohesive potential of cultural heritage and museums and complement the proposed measures to enhance heritage's economic potential.
