Diana Walters works as a museum and heritage consultant specializing in peacebuilding, access, participation, intercultural dialogue, education, management and professional development. She has worked in over 20 countries as a project manager, facilitator, researcher and lecturer. Now based in the UK, Diana is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Exeter University.
Internationally, she often works as a consultant for the NGO Cultural Heritage without Borders overseeing museum based interpretation and peacebuilding development in the western Balkans, Kenya and other countries in transition. Other clients include universities, museums, heritage organisations and international agencies.
She is a visiting lecturer at Gothenburg University, Sweden and has a PhD from Newcastle University, UK. In the book Heritage and Peacebuilding, Diana Walters and her colleagues explore if heritage can contribute to a more peaceful society and future.
