Actions for NEMO members
Building on the capacity of the national museum organisations in Europe and helping them to professionalise their work for the benefit of the museum sector is one of the priorities of NEMO's work and objective in the next years.
With strong national museum organisations, museums and professionals, the museum sector will be enabled to work in more efficient and effective ways for their audiences, grasp new trends better to make museums' activities become more relevant to society.
In this context, NEMO aims at internationalising, professionalising and strengthening the capacity of the museum sector in Europe through
- Learning Exchanges to establish a mobility scheme for peer-to-peer international exchanges of national museum organisations.
- International Training Courses facilitated by museum organisations' experts on business models and management issues for museum organisations' professionals.
- Incorporation of working groups of museum professionals on specific topics to facilitate transnational work on topics at individual level.

NEMO's next Learning Exchange will be hosted by the Irish Museums Association from 11-13 October 2017 in Dublin, Ireland. As a NEMO member you can apply until 30 June 2017.
NEMO's next Training Course "Museum trends and prospects for 2018" is co-organised with NEMO's partner We Are Museums on 15 September 2017 in Paris, France! Applications can be submitted until 10 July 2017. NEMO members and those appointed by NEMO Members are eligible to apply.
