The Working Group Resilience and Care contributes to a shared understanding of key concepts, needs and practices around care and organisational resilience in museum work. We aim to centre experience-based expertise and encourage sharing and learning from each other.
Our Actions
- We reflect on the various concepts of care and resilience in museum work, drawing from experience, existing ideas and cross-sector approaches.
- We map needs and experiences related to care and organisational resilience in museums across Europe - what works only on paper, what works in everyday tasks? How can organisations support their staff?
- We collect practical methods to promote care-driven collaboration.
We are currently working on...
- Setting up the group, which was established in October 2025, and getting to know each other.
- Formulate shared principles and starting points for building more caring and resilient museum organisations.
- Developing a practical toolkit-format to help museums across Europe engage with care and resilience.
