Innovation and Research Case-Study: "Sustaining Cultural Memories in Open-Air Museums"

Witnessing the success of four years of collaboration in transforming the documentation and sharing of cultural heritage has been immensely gratifying. Retold aimed to make both tangible and intangible cultural assets accessible and interactive for future generations. Through digitisation, new storytelling methods, and the roadmap towards a viable digital infrastructure, Nuwa and Dr Cordula Hansen have uncovered blueprints for open-air museums. These achievements lay the groundwork for future projects, including integration into a European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage. Nuwa’s Innovation and Research Case Study offers a detailed overview of this journey, including an early implementation at Steinzeitpark Dithmarschen.
