The conference combines two days of in-depth workshops and three days of 100+ parallel sessions. James Beacham, particle physicist at CERN & the Enders sisters, authors of the famous book Gut: The Inside Story of Our Body's Most Underrated Organ, will be delivering this year's keynote speeches.
This year's theme is “Creative collisions”. In a society where thoughts, words and deeds are increasingly standardised, placing different worldviews on a collision course can be a source of innovation and creativity. Science engagement offers a unique space to experiment with new creative collisions between science and society, experts and amateurs, science and politics, art and science, nature and culture, science and faith, real and virtual, old and new.
Enjoy a unique balance of large crowds and friendly family atmosphere, broad thematic scope and focused state of the art sessions, international perspectives and European touch, peer collaboration and friendly criticism.
