2023 Creative Europe budget sees increase

The European Parliament and the Council of the EU have sealed the 2023 budget, with notably some slight increases in a few policy areas, including culture.

The 2023 Creative Europe work programme comes with a budget of €312 million.Around €90 million will be allocated to help the cultural and creative sectors recover and become more resilient following the Covid-19 crisis. The programme also continues to support Ukrainian cultural and creative sectors and encourage their participation in several actions.

Creative Europe has been increased by 7.5 million euros for next year, while 30 more million were agreed for Horizon Europe and 280 for the neighbourhood policy (which includes the ordinary framework to support Ukraine).
