Call for applications – NEMO training on museums’ impact on society

Two children are shown from the back enganging with an exhibition display. They are turning moveable tiles on which letters are printed.

NEMO and MOI! Museums of Impact are organising an online training on assessing and developing the impact of individual museums. Apply until 4 March 2022 for the chance to learn about MOI, impact-lead evaluation and relevant methodologies.

Up to 16 museum professionals will be selected to participate in the training sessions and get an introduction and preview to the MOI self-evaluation framework, which will be freely available to all museums at the end of 2022. The training sessions take place from 10:00-12:30 CET on 17 and 23 March 2022. Colleagues are encouraged to apply in pairs for more fruitful discussions about their organisation. Participation is free of charge for all, but NEMO members will be prioritised in the selection.

Your participation also supports the development of the MOI impact assessment framework, which will benefit the museum sector at large. Take this chance to exchange with international museum colleagues and begin the journey of improving your institution's impact.

The European cooperation project MOI! Museums of Impact aims to develop a European self-evaluation framework for museums, with impact at its core, for the benefit of both museums and European citizens. The framework will help museums to develop their capacity to meet the demands of a changing, more diverse, increasingly digital and ageing society, by supporting them in evaluating and actively refocusing their work in line with their own strengths and strategies. Developing the framework will be a joint effort of a partnership of 11 European museums, museum developers and public bodies, amongst them NEMO, led by the Finnish Heritage Agency.
