Call for Applications: The role of culture in non-urban areas of the European Union

Voices of Culture, which ensures dialogue between the European Commission and the cultural sector, has launched a call for applications for its second 2019-2021 theme, namely the role of culture in spaces outside urban centres in Europe. Apply to be part of answering how new priorities, policies, actions and funding streams can better support culture in non-urban areas. Apply by 10 November 2019.

The Voices of Culture call is open to representatives of the cultural and creative sectors (professional organisations, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, European networks, foundations, private organisations, local/regional authorities etc.) with relevant expertise on the topic “The role of culture in non-urban areas” who would like to contribute to discussions with the European Commission.

Successful applicants will be invited to a Brainstorming meeting and to a Dialogue meeting. The Brainstorming meeting for the topic takes place from 4-5 February 2020 at Fagus-Werk in Alfeld, Germany. The Dialogue meeting for this topic will take place on 22 April 2020 in Brussels, Belgium.
