Call for proposals – From climate knowledge to climate action

Klimahaus Bremerhaven 8° Ost sets out to answer the question "How to? From Climate Knowledge to Climate Action" in a solution-oriented way at an international symposium from 24-25 September 2020. Proposals are welcome until 31 May 2020.

Klimahaus Bremerhaven 8° Ost writes that there will be a time after the current pandemic, which must stand particularly for sustainable solutions as part of Agenda 2030. Following the key message "We can create vibrant futures", Klimahaus invites to a participatory and activating symposium to learn directly from each other’s practical experiences, inspiring and exploring one's own self-efficacy in climate empowerment.

The thematic focus will be on climate change education and climate action within the framework of Education for Sustainable Development in all kinds of exhibition spaces. Contributions on the following topics are encouraged:

  • Activism and education
  • Environmental justice
  • Arts and aesthetics
  • Exhibition concepts and designs
  • Climate Imagination
  • Indigenous Knowledge
  • Digitalization
  • Mindfulness, hope, sufficiency and happiness research
  • Disruptive ideas
  • Whole institution approach

Klimahaus Bremerhaven 8° Ost has been successfully communicating insights from climate research and the global impacts of climate change.
