The Europeana Research Event Grants have been designed to help facilitate and encourage cross-sectoral collaboration between cultural heritage and research institutions on the theme of Digital Cultural Heritage for Open Science. A budget of 25,000 Euros has been allocated to assist the planning, organisation and holding of events that bring together cultural heritage professionals and researchers with a twofold goal:
- address challenges and opportunities related to the reuse of cultural heritage data in research
- provide training opportunities to build up the digital capabilities of cultural heritage professionals involved in research projects
