Culture Identified as Cornerstone for a Strong European Identity

The European Committee of the Regions’ plenary session on 17 May 2018 resulted in the adoption of two important opinions, both highlighting the importance of culture and cultural heritage.

After a debate during the plenary session on "Regions and cities - Key drivers for reinforcing the European identity through culture”, the European Committee of the Regions adopted the opinions below.
