The deadline to apply to the One to One Mentoring Programme has been extended to 20 March 2022. The training opportunity is organised in partnership with GEM – the Group for Education in Museums. The mentoring programme is exclusively open to people active within NEMO member organisations and participation is free of charge.

By taking part in the programme, museum professionals, typically in education roles, gain the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues. Five persons will be selected to be supported and empowered by GEM Mentors in 2-3 online one to one mentoring sessions (each lasting 60-90 minutes, sessions will take place online between April - June). Mentees are carefully matched with a suitable mentor based on their needs and priorities for development.

People participating in the mentoring will gain access to:

  • Individual support by experienced senior museum professionals who understand their field
  • Help setting and achieving goals that support their career growth
  • International networking

Learn more about the One to One Mentoring Programme online and find details about the application process in the Call for Applications.

NEMO member organisations can appoint individuals that do not work at the museum but are in other ways connected to the organisation. Get in touch if you have questions about this process: office@ne-mo.org.

In case your organisation is not a member of NEMO, but you are interested in applying to the One to One Mentoring Programme, we suggest that your organisation requests to join NEMO. Please note that only organisations and no individual persons may join NEMO.
