EESC President and next NEMO Political Internship Participant Luca Jahier on Culture and the Future of Europe

On 24 May 2019, Luca Jahier, President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), will take part in NEMO’s museum advocacy initiative NEMO Political Internships on Museums. To get to know President Jahier better, listen to Culture Action Europe’s EP Elections Podcast interview.

As part of its European Parliament elections campaign, Culture Action Europe (CAE) met with Luca Jahier to discuss his views on the future of Europe and the future of culture. Topics such as the need to preserve cultural diversity and protect freedom of artistic expression are covered in the interview and Mr. Jahier noted that “the first step is to recognise the force of the cultural actors in any level for what they can bring to society.” During the upcoming NEMO Political Internships in Museums, Mr. Jahier will get first had experience how museums’ at every level contribute to society. The internship will take place on 24 May 2019 at the Royal Museums of Turin.
