Final OPEN DOORS event will explore museums solving collective problems

The final talk in the hybrid series OPEN DOORS. PARTICIPATORY MUSEUMS TODAY is taking place on Wednesday 23 November at 16:30 CET. Participants of the session “Participation as a solution to collective problems” may join for free online or in person in Brescia, Italy.

The final event marks the end of a collaboration between NEMO, Fondazione Brescia Musei and Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali. Since May 2022, 9 events curated by Pierluigi Sacco have been organised on different themes relating to participatory museums and the museum of the future. NEMO Secretary General Julia Pagel will attend the event in Brescia to give some final words about the partnership and the topic.

The session “Participation as a solution to collective problems” will focus on how culture always has helped people solve important issues by addressing them from different perspectives. Museums can also act as places where we can design more effective solutions to our everyday problems.
