The Balkan Museum Network has published an interactive map that offers an overview of more than 40 accessible museums, galleries and historical sites in the Balkans.

The map of accessible museums is the first of its kind that contains the most important information about the accessibility of more than 40 museums, galleries and sites in the Balkans for people with disabilities. In connection to the map, the Balkan Museum Network has also produced a publication that is available for visitors and partners.

The aim of this online tool is to help potential visitors to get to know institutions before visiting them. Information about accessible programs and contents are shared for each institutions along with other information that can be important for potential visitors.

The publication and map are part of the regional project "Improving the accessibility of museums in the Balkans for people with disabilities", funded by the Embassy of the United States of America in Belgrade through the Alumni Small Grants Program.
