Join 2 GLAM workshops on opening up museums and intellectual property rights

inDICEs is co-organising two workshops for GLAMs in the coming weeks. Join “Open Up Museums! Prospects and challenges of Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion” from 26-27 May in Italy and the “Sixth Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights in Szeged (WIPS)” from 9-10 June in Hungary. Participation in both workshops is free of charge.

Open Up Museums! Prospects and challenges of Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion will explore key issues and tools to promote openness in the cultural sector between law and practice. The 2-day workshop takes place in Trento and Rovereto. It is co-organised by inDICEs – in collaboration with projects DANCING, reCreating Europe, and museums MuSe (Museo delle Scienze, Trento) and Mart (Museo di arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto, Rovereto).

The Sixth Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights in Szeged (WIPS) will explore current issues in intellectual property law in an open, discussion-based way for both senior and junior academia. This year’s WIPS is dedicated to three main tracks:

  1. Copyright-related aspects of the GLAM sector will be discussed by our presenters and during the training part of the event.
  2. The overlaps of competition law and intellectual property law will be addressed.
  3. The challenges of modern technology to copyright law will be discussed.

WIPS is co-organised by reCreating Europe, inDICEs and the University of Szeged. All GLAM@HOME sessions on Day 1 (9th June) of the Workshop will be live-streamed. The on-site programme takes place in Szeged, Hungary.
