Meeting of the NEMO Executive Board

On 8 September 2022, the NEMO Executive Board met online to discuss the impact of the energy crisis in Europe on museums, the upcoming annual NEMO European Museum Conference in Portugal and the next steps of NEMO regarding climate change and sustainability.

NEMO’s European Museum Conference: Innovation begins within - Resilient museums in times of disruption takes place from 9-11 October in Loulé, Portugal. It is the first in-person conference since the pandemic and the board is looking forward to meeting with the network again while exploring how museums can become more innovative, agile and flexible in a fast-changing and challenging world. At the Annual General Meeting, which takes place during the conference, the members of NEMO will vote on a new member of the Executive Board since one seat is free.

Present at the meeting: Liv Ramskjær (Norwegian Museums Association), Lodewijk Kuiper (Netherlands Museums Association), Sergio Servellón (ICOM Belgium Flanders), Eva Koppen (Association of European Jewish Museums) and NEMO Chair David Vuillaume (German Museums Association) and NEMO Secretary General Julia Pagel.
