NEMO International Training Course on Museums and Emotions

From 4-6 April 2019, seven NEMO members joined an International Training Course in Berlin, Germany, to learn more about the impact of emotions in the museum experience. The training was organised in the course of the Connected Audience Conference 2019 - The Role of Emotions in Museum and Cultural Experiences. NEMO was also one of the cooperation partners of the conference.

The conference explored the newest research in human emotions and the role they play in museums and cultural experiences. The participants got to both contribute and learn more about:

  • Creating awe, wonder and empathy in museum and cultural experiences
  • The role of emotions in visitor engagement and visitor satisfaction
  • Emotion as the driver of decision-making and its potential for programming and marketing

NEMO board member Margherita Sani welcomed the Training Course participants and gave a welcome speech at the conference opening.
