NEMO kicks off project on measuring the impact of digital culture

From 21-22 January 2020, NEMO was in Rome, Italy, to be part of the launch of the Horizon 2020 project "inDICEs – Measuring the Impact of Digital Culture". NEMO is one of 14 project partners and ICCU, the Central Institute for the Union Catalogue of the Italian Libraries, is the project leader.

As professor Pier Luigi Sacco said during the kick-off on 21 January 2020, the key aims of the project are to identify:

  • the social and economy impact of digitalization on cultural and creative sectors
  • how digitalization effects our use of cultural assets

With the project, NEMO hopes to encourage more museums to make use of digital tools for their digitised collections and/ or for them to digitise their collections. The final product should be helpful for cultural heritage institutions no matter their size, location or orientation. NEMO also want to cater the cultural heritage sector with accessible information about digitisation and Intellectual Property Right.
