NEMO signs Statement Calling for Support of Culture in Post-2020 EU Multiannual Financial Framework

The European Alliance for Culture and the Arts launched a statement calling for substantial support for culture, the arts and heritage within the post-2020 EU Multiannual Financial Framework. As a member in the Alliance NEMO has signed the statement.

The Alliance strongly advise that 1% of the total expenditure of the Union should be allocated as the future cultural budget. This would give the cultural sector the boost it needs to unfold its potential.

Culture and the arts pose as great tools to create added value when dealing with social, economic and religious tensions within the society, between countries as well as outside EU-borders. Further, the statement supports that the future MFF should be favorable to the key pillars Future, Innovation and Youth.
