New mobility scheme Culture Moves Europe launched

This collage consists of a black and white photograph of a blonde haired woman. Next to and layered over her image are pictures of flowers, two dancers, a cassette, and a book with flowers in between the pages. The text reads: "Culture moves Europe".

The new permanent mobility scheme Culture Moves Europe was officially launched on 10 October 2022 and the first call is open until 31 May 2023. The mobility scheme is particularly focused on emerging artists.

With a budget of €21 million for the years 2022 and 2025 and running under the Creative Europe programme, the scheme will support mobility in culture at the EU level. Following up on the pilot experience of the i-Portunus programme, Culture Moves Europe is now a an officially adopted line of action of the Creative Europe Culture strand that aims to support the international mobility of artists, creators, and cultural workers.

Approximately 7 000 artists, creators, and cultural professionals will be able to benefit from the programme to go abroad for professional development or international collaborations; co-produce; co-create and/or to present their works to new audiences.
