Open call for the Arts & Cultural Management Conference REvsiting Borders

The call encourages students and emerging professionals in the sector to respond to current issues related to the main theme of the Arts & Cultural Management Conference (ACMC); "REvsiting Borders" and the following sub-themes: REsilience, REimagine, REinterpret. The selected applicants will be featured in a three-day series of virtual events between 28 – 30 January 2021. Submissions are welcomed until 4 October.

The call is open to students and educators; emerging researchers and academics; artists; emerging professionals and practitioners working in the arts and culture sector.

Proposals can suggest various virtual themes. To be considered, submissions must include:

  • a research abstract, summary, or event proposal (no more than 300 words) with a few key references; (clearly indicating the selected presentation format and any relevant information on the plan to present/facilitate)
  • a short biography (100 words or less) with the applicant’s background & interests.

All proposals can be sent via the submission form by 11.59pm (CET) on 4 October 2020.

Localized hubs

Eligible applicants also have the chance to collaborate directly with the ACMC Team on curating part of the event agenda by setting up and coordinating a localized hub in their own area. About Arts & Cultural Management Conference

Building an understanding of the ongoing transformations in the arts and culture sector will allow us to better advocate for its contributions to society as well as self-reflecting on how to best serve our communities while navigating uncertainty & change. Therefore, the 2021 edition of ACMC is taking a critical look at its own format and thematic scope by delving deeper into virtual realms and expanding the borders of the event’s audience reach and engagement in topical conversations.

ACMC provides an accessible platform for disseminating research and projects while fostering an open, interactive, and mindful exchange. Every year since 2018, this three-day event has been engaging over 100 emerging researchers, professionals, academics, and artists across Europe in insightful conversations about on the most pressing issues of the arts & cultural sector.
