A small budget increase from 7.6% to 9% of the overall budget for the objective “Advanced digital skills”, found within Digital Europe, has been proposed by the Rapporteur for the CULT Committee. The objective is of high relevance to cultural and creative development and in the Draft Opinion, the rapporteur gave a special focus on creative industries and heritage.
Luigi Morgano, the Rapporteur for the Cult Committee, proposed an increase of 26 billion euro to the overall Horizon Europe programme in his Draft Opinion. The requested total is consequently brought to 120 billion euro. Further, the initial focus of the opinion on the creative industries and the heritage sector will most probably be expanded to the whole of the cultural and creative sector in the final opinion.
