As the SoPHIA project is coming to an end, NEMO members and museum professionals are invited to attend a webinar focused on cultural heritage and impact assessment. Participants will not only be introduced to the Impact Assessment Model, but also learn how it works in practice with examples from a case study of a transnational cultural heritage project. The model is holistic in its nature and suitable for all kinds of interventions and on different levels at museums and any other cultural heritage organisation.

The project SoPHIA - Social Platform for Holistic Heritage Impact Assessment is funded by Horizon 2020 and has been running since the beginning of 2020 with the aim of effectively describing and assessing various impacts generated by actions in the cultural heritage field. Such actions can be a large European development project, a political decision or a small individual archaeological excavation.
Extensive literature and research review has fed into the model that has been tested on 12 different projects and interventions before reaching its final form. The model comes with a manual and it will be accompanied by a platform with information about the model and provides a place for exchange for people using it.
