Shortlist for Children in Museums Award 2017 announced

The Children in Museums Award recognises museums for their children exhibitions programmes. The final winner will be announced at the Hands On! conference from 11-14 October 2017 in the Czech Republic.

On the shortlist for the 2017 are:

Naturalis Biodiversity Center, Leiden, The Netherlands
Maritime Museum Rotterdam, Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Natuurmuseum Brabant, Tilburg, The Netherlands
Centraal Museum – Miffy Museum, Utrecht, The Netherlands
National Museum of Science and Technology, Stockholm, Sweden

The Award is presented by NEMO's partner the <link http: www.europeanmuseumacademy.eu external-link-new-window external link in new>European Museum Academy (EMA) and Hands On! International Association of Children in Museums.

The final winner will follow in the footsteps of different museums such as the ZOOM Children's Museum in Vienna, Austria and GeoFort in Herwijnen, the Netherlands and will be presented with the award as part of the Hands On! Conference from 11-14 October 2017. With the theme "<link http: www.hands-on-international.net conferences conference-2017 external-link-new-window external link in new>Future in Children's Hands" the four-day conference takes informal education in the 21st century into focus. Early bird registration is open until 30 July 2017.
