The Autumn Festival of Museums

The Museum of Applied Arts has joined the Hungarian museum series “The Autumn Festival of Museums” for the 10th time this year. With its slogan and the subject matter “Wonders of the World – the Age of Discoveries” the festival intends to commemorate several breakthroughs influencing the whole world. The first ever circumnavigation, the Magellan circumnavigation was launched exactly 500 years ago, on 20 September 1519, and the Industrial Revolution began c. 250 years ago.
