The EC has selected NEMO to be part of a Cultural Heritage Expert Group

NEMO has been selected by the European Commission to participate in an expert group on Cultural Heritage. The group will build on the outcome of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, gathering policy makers, stakeholders and networks for discussions and exchange of best practices. The first meeting will take place from 15-16 October 2019 in Brussels, Belgium.

The Group will work towards promoting public policies that ensure the long-term value and sustainability of Europe's cultural heritage based on an integrated approach. The expertise found within the group will support the implementation of the European Framework for Action for Cultural Heritage.

DG EAC selected the participants based on expertise and with the goal of creating a balanced representation of relevant know how and areas of interest. Julia Pagel, NEMO Secretary General, will attend the meeting on behalf of NEMO and the museum community in Europe.
