The last NEMO Webinar on Education and Public Engagement is now Available Online

Margherita Sani’s webinar “From Museum Education to Public Engagement - Trends and practices in European museums” that was held on 11 April 2019 is now available online.

The webinar deals with some of the biggest challenges that museums are facing today; how do you keep the attention of the audience when they has endless options of leisure activities?

The concept of audience development translates into the numerous practices museums put into place in order to satisfy the needs both of the audience and of the funders. The term public engagement - as opposed to education – therefore better reflects what museum educators currently do.

The webinar will look at this shift, using examples and case studies from different institutions in Europe.

The webinar was part of the BE MUSEUMER programme which aims to increase the professionalism of young museum workers in the South Caucasus region (Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan).
