On 4 June 2020, NEMO’s Executive Board had its first ever online board meeting. During their successful meeting, the board reached decisions concerning NEMO’s upcoming European Museum conference and the network’s COVID-19 response.

The board decided that the 2020 NEMO European Museum Conference Museums making sense will take place from 15-17 November in Rijeka, Croatia, as planned. Although digital solutions have proven to work well, in person exchange is invaluable. To make sure that the conference is safe for everyone attending, we will change the format and reduce the number of participants compared to previous years. More details will follow.

Apart from general updates and discussions about upcoming activities, the board also discussed the next steps with regard to NEMO’s COVID-19 initiatives and helping the sector to open up safely to the public again.
