The new Creative Europe work plan

The 2022 workplan for the implementation of the Creative Europe funding programme was adopted by the European Commission on 13 January. €385 million, nearly €100 million more compared to previous year, will be distributed to the cultural and creative sector in the European Union.

The adoption on the 2022 work programme of Creative Europe will soon be followed by the launch of relevant calls for proposals.

Creative Europa is divided into three strands: Culture, MEDIA and Cross-sectoral. The Culture strand of the programme will include new calls and initiatives for the music, cultural heritage, performing arts and literature sectors as well as a mobility scheme to promote professional, audience development and international collaborations. The cross-sectoral strand will increase funding for the Creative Innovation Lab for joint-innovation projects involving several creative sectors and thus also in part contributing to the New European Bauhaus initiatives.
