Think Global, Build Social!

"Think Global, Build Social!" analyzes the theme of social responsibility in contemporary architecture. The exhibition presents current examples that, through alternative forms of construction and social commitment, seek to improve the living conditions of people in less privileged areas of the world, with minimal financial costs, opting instead for initiative and creativity. The architectural concepts selected by curator Andres Lepik - including schools, public spaces and residential buildings - highlight how essential it is to collaborate with future users as well as to incorporate local construction traditions. The architects presented put their knowledge at the service of society and advocate for a social, ecological and sustainable architecture. >> An exhibition made by the German Museum of Architecture and the Vienna Architecture Center in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut e.V., presented in Cluj-Napoca by the German Cultural Center and the Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography.
