UNESCO resources on combatting illicit trafficking of cultural goods

UNESCO has launched three new webpages that gather valuable material developed by the current and previous EU-UNESCO cooperation projects fighting the illicit trafficking of cultural goods.

Visit the website of the EU-UNESCO Inter-regional and crosscutting action to learn about the initiative and access recordings of workshops on fighting illicit trafficking, interviews, toolkits and other resources.

The website includes a specific page listing all resources, documentation and training material. You will for instance find the online toolkit “Fighting the illicit trafficking of cultural property”. Designed as a self-training compendium, the toolkit aims to strengthen the capacities and knowledge of both European judiciary and law enforcement authorities through practical exercises and the provision of all relevant legal references. Originally published in English in 2018 and in French in 2019, it is now available in Spanish and will soon be available in Serbian.
