Report on digitisation and copyright

Digitisation has long been an important topic in the museum sector and the coronavirus lockdowns made the importance and benefits of digital cultural heritage evident. Together with our working group Digitalisation and IPR, NEMO has published a report identifying challenges that museums in Europe still encounter when digitising their collections and establishing online access to them. The illuminating report offers recommendations to EU policy makers, national museum organisations and museums. The report also addresses the national implementation processes of the EU Digital Single Market Directive and arising questions about Intellectual Property Rights.
We hope you are having a relaxing summer!

EXPONATEC COLOGNE 2019 offered a comprehensive overview of themes like visitor management, exhibition design, light and building technology, glass and display case construction, security, logistics and communications. Around 4,400 experts from the culture industry intensively made use of this offer. As a result of the successful integration of a first-class congress and lecture programme, EXPONATEC COLOGNE once again proved to be a great success for the industry in 2019. We look forward to welcome you to the next edition in 2021. | |
