Earlier this week, scientists warned that the climate limit of 1.5C is close to being broken. Global warming is is already having devastating effects on our planet and our cultural heritage, and it will only become more severe if we fail to act. To help museums transition to sustainability, NEMO is running a survey on museums and climate change. Please answer it and share the link with your contacts: bit.ly/NEMOclimatesurvey. Every answer counts and will feed into developing recommendations for policy makers to help steer the sector to a green future.
On another note, have you ever wondered how the House of European History collects, curates and communicates European history with a transnational approach? Join a free NEMO Webinar on 7 June at 11:00 CEST to learn how to tell diverse narratives. With examples from the museum's latest outreach initiative - the touring exhibition Fake (f)or Real. Register now to join.
We're looking forward to 9-11 October when NEMO's European Museum Conference 2022 Innovation begins within - Resilient museums in times of disruptions will take place. Until registration opens in June, check out the draft programme and the open call for papers. We hope to see you in Loulé, Portugal!
