Two people wearing face masks walk through an exhibition hall. There is plenty of space between them and the walls are covered with distance markings.

Looking ahead and checking in

At the end of this year, we would like to share an exciting update for 2022 and an overview of current Covid-19 regulations for museums across Europe.

We are thrilled to announce a partnership with the Group for Education in Museums (GEM). Starting 2022, 10 emerging museum professionals connected to NEMO member organisations will be offered to participate in GEM’s One to One Mentoring Programme as a form of professional development.

As another pandemic year finishes, we can establish that two countries, Denmark and The Netherlands, are forcing museums to close. Museums in 18 countries are required to ask for some kind of Covid-19 passport and 8 countries do not have such a requirement. Learn more in the overview.

Happy reading and happy holidays,
the NEMO office
