Support for museum independence amidst pressure

In response to political pressure on museums across Europe and calls for support from our members, we have launched a dedicated webpage to help the sector navigate these challenges. Our new page Independent museums offers an extensive resource section and outlines NEMO’s key actions to safeguard museum independence. We find that museums must operate within a framework of professional independence and responsibility to fulfil their mission and societal role effectively. With this new page, along with insights from our recent Barometer and Members’ Meetup, we’re standing by museums to protect their independence. Happy reading,
