NEMO wants to bring the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH 2018) to the people during the European Cultural Heritage Summit, by celebrating cultural heritage and museums with dancing and networking! Registration is required.
On 25 May 15:00 CET, we would like to invite you to a free NEMO Webinar dealing with difficult heritage. Jonathan Eaton and Mirian Bllaci will bring a more serious aspect to the EYCH 2018 celebrations when facilitating the webinar "From mines to mind-maps: A dialogue-based approach to museum planning at Spaç Prison". June is fully packed with events and deadlines in the NEMO calendar. Make sure to apply to the next NEMO International Training Course before 19 June! On 17 September 2018, the House of European History in Brussels, Belgium, will inform participants on how a multilingual narrative can be developed and delivered. NEMO members participate free of charge and are covered by travel grants. Non-members are welcome to participate for a fee of 250 euros. NEMO is thrilled to announce that the project NEMO Members Resources Mapping is finalised! The project was executed to map the vast resources that are lying within the network and it reflects NEMO's wish to make the knowledge about museum-related topics, contacts and publications accessible to the members. NEMO has mapped the resources according to it’s main themes, the four museum values in the collection, education, social and economic field.

Institutution: The Museum of the Macedonian Struggle – Skopje, Workshop for improving access for blind and visually impaired visitorsWe started the activities within the project for improving the access of blind and visually impaired people to the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle, supported by the Balkan Museum Network, as part of the programme of the Museum for social inclusion called Open Museums. ICOM Russia - 1st International Scientific and Technical Conference “The Light in the Museum” - April 18-20, 2018 - St. Petersburg, the State Hermitage Museum. The conference "The light in the Museum” was devoted to the role and importance of light and lighting equipment in the preservation of museum values in Russia and abroad. In the framework of the Conference "The light in the Museum” the leading Russian and foreign specialists discussed topical issues of the application of modern lighting technologies in museums.

The National Museum of Secret Surveillance "House of Leaves", Tirana, Albania: Impression "Impression" is an educational program at the museum for talented students. After visiting the museum, students get to draw inspiration from the visit to create something in the artistic genre of their choice, such as writing, painting or art installation. The project was finalized on 23 May with an exhibition and an award ceremony.

Swedish Museum Association: July 4th 2018 Museum’s Day during the Politician Week in Visby With the Swedish elections coming up in September 2018, the Museum Association, members and partners intensify the advocacy work for museums. Various aspects of the importance and future of museums in society make up themes for six seminars during the ”Politician Week” in Almedalen, Visby, on the island of Gotland.

Lithuanian Museums Association (LMA) - Lithuanian Museums Route 2018 "Signs of the Year of Independence", Lithuania, 18 May – 27 September 2018 Organized by LMA the program of special museum events provides a meaningful journey through all ethnographic regions.
