NEMO is definitely already looking forward to the next NEMO Learning Exchange, which takes place from 6-7 December 2018 in London, the UK. Among others, the Museums Association will inform participants about its campaign "Museums change lives". NEMO welcomes applications until 21 September 2018. Find more information here.

NEMO is thrilled to bring its knowledge about museums, creativity and innovation to THE ARTS+ Innovation Summit on 10 October 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. The one-day summit focuses on bridging the gap between the cultural and creative sectors and digital innovation. We have gathered hotel deals and all the information necessary to make your stay from 15-18 November 2018 in Valletta, Malta, as comfortable as possible on this page. There is a general high demand on hotels in Valletta, therefore we urge you to book your accommodation as soon as possible.

All projects awarded with the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 label by NEMO have the chance to be selected to present their activity at NEMO's 26th Annual Conference! The NEMO Working Group Museums and Creative Industries is collecting innovative case studies from across Europe on how museums and creative industries successfully work together. Estonian Museums Association celebrates it`s 30th anniversary with an annual Museum Festival in Estonian border town Narva

The Narva Festival takes place from 24-25 October and this year`s theme is "Museums and a Recent History". The conference discusses, how to collect, exhibit and preserve modern materials and how to mediate sensitive topics to museum visitors. Key speakers are Rafal Wnuk, former curator at the Gdansk II World War Museum, and Anna Wowk Vestergaard from Den Gamle By Open Air Museum.

Lithuanian Museums Association: Programme ‘Free museums for Schoolchildren’, dedicated to the Centennial of the restored Lithuania, 2018

Seeking to ensure the development of cultural competences of young people, the programme ‘Free museums for Schoolchildren’ will be extended by the end of 2018. As before, all schoolchildren, individually or in groups, will have free access to permanent expositions in national and state museums. Schoolchildren gain free entrance to museums upon showing their schoolchildren's cards.
