The Museums Association UK will present its project “Museums Change Lives” from 6-7 December 2018, in London, the UK. NEMO members participate free of charge and are covered by travel grants. Join NEMO in Frankfurt, Germany, when we participate in the ARTS+ Innovation Summit in the course of the Frankfurt International Book Fair on 10 October 2018 to discuss museums and culture in relation to technical innovation. Ten NEMO members will be granted a free-pass to the “future of culture”-festival. Apply for the free entry by emailing office@ne-mo.org.

German Museums Association: The “Guidelines on Dealing with Collections from Colonial Contexts in Museums and Collections” is now available in English. The guidelines offer support for museum workers, e.g. for restitution requirements, when working with objects from colonial contexts. Also, the publication aims to start a much needed discussion about the colonial past of museums and their collections. The first edition of the guidelines will function as a basis for discussion; a second revised edition of the guidelines incorporating new perspectives is planned to be published in the spring of 2019.
