This working group contributes to the development of the European cultural policy environment of museums through advocacy and promotion and provides a space to exchange experiences and knowledge about museum advocacy campaigns and public affairs. Due to a change of coordinator the group is on pause for the rest of 2023, but you can expect exiting updates in 2024.

Our Actions

  • We provide a platform for museum professionals to share ideas on how to represent their interests to stakeholders and the public, to exchange knowledge and to learn from each other.
  • We keep NEMO’s members well informed about advocacy and public affairs and offer expertise to help them organise their own advocacy policy.
  • We provide assistance, deliver information and support NEMO’s actions in the field of advocacy with and for museums.

We are currently working on...

  • The group will meet in connection to the NEMO European Museum Conference 2024 to discuss various advocacy actions.

Next Meeting

  • Will soon be announced.
  • Until then learn about our previous meeting that focused on international cooperation and funding, with a special presentation about Creative Europe.
