Unique look into museum operations

In two weeks we will welcome Sabine Verheyen, Member of the European Parliament and Chair of the CULT Committee, to a NEMO Political Internship at the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum in Aachen, Germany. The opportunity will offer Verheyen a unique insight into the day-to-day operations of a museum and the multitude of activities beyond exhibitions. NEMO has organised internships for EU politicians since 2018 with the aim of fostering a deeper connection between political leaders and museums. The internships highlight museums’ value and contribution to society while also showcasing their needs in terms of support and funding. We would like to see more political internships in museums across Europe and invite you to explore our resources to organise an internship with a local or national politician. We are also available to offer support and share our learnings from organising such advocacy initiatives. Happy reading, the NEMO office | |
