Join us in supporting culture

Summer is upon us, but our advocacy work for museums and their funding continues. Recently, NEMO joined 70+ cultural organisations, networks and institutions across Europe in signing an open letter urging EU policymakers to secure a stronger budget for culture in AgoraEU, the programme set to replace Creative Europe in the next long-term EU budget. Together, we call for at least 25% of the AgoraEU budget to be dedicated to culture through a protected budget line – so that this funding cannot be redirected to other areas – while also strengthening support for international cooperation, fair working conditions and pay, as well as accessible funding procedures. Before switching fully into summer mode – or when you return from a well-deserved break – we invite your organisation to join the call. New signatories can still support the letter, which will be updated with additional signatures in September. Happy reading, the NEMO office | |
